I read a lot of photographer magazines and the best advice I have gotten out of all the reading is to always look down and behind you. This picture is the classic example of a great picture happening behind me. In front of me was the sun setting on the Missouri River and that had my undivided attention, until I turned around and saw a much better scene unfolding before me. This picture has it all to me. Colorful sky, snow on the back, colors reflecting off the water and even some eagles in the trees. So my advice to all you photographers out there is to keep your head moving in all directions, the best picture maybe behind you, not in front of you. |
