Geese at sunset, DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge
These Canadians were heading upriver as the sun was setting, on a horizontal plane just inches above the water and moving fast. The warm sun on the geese contrasting with the blue of the water struck me and I began shooting. They continued upriver, single minded and purposeful with only the sound of moving water and the beat of wings to mark their passing. I tracked them as best I could and hoped I'd get one shot in focus that conveyed the perfect harmony of the moment. This was it.
